1. Cammino (in Excelsior)
- They serve garlic, olive oil+black vinegar, butter together with the bread!

2. Poppy's in Tin Hau
- Sat lunch is at good price. i have tried a mushroom risotto and it was really good!

3. Grappa
- good house pasta

4. Amaroni Little Italy
- good food, but no branch on HK Island now

5. Pizza Express
- good pizza

6. Belgos East (in Taikoo Place)
- just tried once, but the Belgos East Seafood pasta is really tasty!

I am so so so happy that I got an 'A' in the Econ subject! Very very very happy. Hope I can keep up the effort to get good grades in the next two subjects: Financial Statement Analysis and Asset Valuation.

My first time playing pedal kart

I joined the pedal car team of Rotary Club of Quarry Bay on Nov 27, 2005 to play in the Hong Kong Grand Prix Pedal 2005 game. We tried to raise HKD200,000 for Hong Chi Association to buy a new school bus for serving the mentally-retarded children.

The Grand Prix was held in the Victoria Park with 42 teams altogether. The game ran for 24 hours non-stop. I only played a 15-20 minute session, but it was really fun! I think my average speed was 2'01'' (2 mins 1 sec) per lap.

So far, I have only raised HKD1,200... Hope I can get some more.

Changing job

原來一年前我寫了一篇《有壓力與無壓力的人生 (pressure) 》
事隔一年，我真的離開了服務了九年多的舊公司．當年寫blog的日期是七月廿一日，而我的新工作剛好又在今年的七月廿一日開始，真有意思．
轉工的原因很多，基本上所有打工仔想轉工的原因都適用於我．
沒有一個特別大的因素令我一定要轉工．但當很多小事情加起上來，我便感應到那個轉工的逼切性．
在找新工作的過程中我深深感受到上帝一步步的帶領．中間有起有跌，像極在玩過山車，旁人也有為我緊張．完全是在考驗我的信心、恆心和耐性．這種等候的過程，現在想起是很耐人尋味的．
要學到完全信服，交托，等候，跟隨上帝的計劃，不要驕傲，不要灰心都幾困難．但若你有信心，do give it a try!

Hong Kong Disneyland

I spent half day in HK Disneyland on 11/11/2005. I recommend the following:

1. Spend some time in the Disneyland Resort Hotel. It is grand and elegant and European.
2. Inside the park, I highly recommend the following:

• Golden Mickey show
• Fireworks
• Space Mountain
• 3D Movie - Philhamagic

3. Um, the followings are also good:

• Buzzlightyear
• Parade
• Lion King show

4. The Pooh attraction had a long queue and I did not try. Many families queued for that. It might take nearly 2 hours to get inside.

5. Make good use of the "Fast Pass" system to save some queuing time.

6. I took dinner and shopped for souvenirs only after watching the fireworks. Try to avoid the crowd when leaving Disneyland and taking the Disneyland MTR line.

7. 去狄士尼做足準備:

• Sunblock / Hat / Umbrella
• Empty bottle (as you can get some water inside the park)
• If you only have ETC, not Jetco, then bring more cash
• Camera / DV - for the fireworks and shows
• Dress comfortably. During Nov, no need to bring a coat.
• You need to walk and stand a lot. Comfortable shoes only.
• Don't bring a large bag with heavy stuff. You will regret.

8. Other facilities:

• Lockers
• Baby cars
• Wheelchairs

香港仍有賊

我老公昨天在中央圖書館被人偷了整個書包（Hedgren背囊），內有一部Dell Inspiron 700m手提電腦，一部Sony Clie電子手帳，和兩本CFA Schweser Notes. 個腦只用了三個月，部手帳又有很多我們旅遊的資料，很可憐．如果有有心人能幫忙尋回以上物件，那就好了．不過似乎要有神蹟出現才有可能．．．

人生在世匆匆數十年，我們有自由選擇怎樣過生活
若你是海嘯的遇難者，你有機會再選的話，你會怎樣過你的生活？

有關胡佳奪冠

也许正如大师哥熊倪所说，胡佳也是在一次次的错失和等待中站到奥运会冠军领奖台上的。激情经过岁月的磨砺，变成了一种内敛的回味：对胜利的渴望依旧，只是表现方式不同而已。

Investment

I suddenly find that I am very interested in learning how to invest. I think it is a very interesting game. However, the risk may be too high if I just want to perform some experiments with real $$. Anyway, hope that I can have more channels to learn about the technique and jargons.

Further studies

Is it worth to study a MBA nowadays?  Or should we study some degrees that teach more specific knowledge?  How do you weigh "degrees" with "commitment to your job"?  If I want to commit more, I may need to give up the chance to study higher degrees.  Will this affect my career development in the long run?
